Helping serve schools and communities across the state of Texas

What is the TCMPC?

The Texas Curriculum Management Program Cooperative, or TCMPC, is a shared service agreement between the 20 Educational Service Centers (ESCs) in Texas. This shared service agreement, or SSA, allows participating ESCs to share responsibility for the management and operations of the online curriculum management system known as the TEKS Resource System.

The TCMPC reflects the combined effort of the ESCs to help schools improve student performance and operate more efficiently and cost-effectively.

What does the TCMPC provide?

The TCMPC provides content and support for an online curriculum management system known as the TEKS Resource System and Texas Curriculum Resource. The content includes curriculum components and sample unit assessment items aligned to the most current versions of the State Board of Education-adopted TEKS for the following subject areas:

  • English Language Arts and Reading
  • Spanish Language Arts and Reading
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • Spanish translated versions of Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies

The TCMPC believes that teachers, working with parents and their communities, know how to best educate their students. Therefore, the TCMPC does not provide sample lessons.

Who does the TCMPC serve?

Since the TCMPC's  system is highly customizable, Texas school districts, charter schools, and private schools of all sizes can benefit from its use. The TEKS Resource System / Texas Curriculum Resources is not an online student learning system. Students are not provided direct access to the system. TCMPC components are designed for teacher use, but are available to parents through their local schools.

The TCMPC encourages parent involvement and does not prevent parents from viewing any of its content.

Why was the TCMPC formed?

The TCMPC was formed to help schools operate in a way that allows teachers to do what they do best - educate students. By providing schools a resource aligned with what the state of Texas has determined students are expected to learn (TEKS), teachers can spend more time focusing on students and improving the learning environment in schools.

The TCMPC is dedicated to helping schools maximize resources in order to advance students’ academic success.
